After breakfast, we’ll pick you up from your Arusha lodge for a scenic 2 to 3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s top safari destinations. Along the way, enjoy some last-minute shopping in Arusha town. Tarangire is famous for its large population of elephants (around 6,000) and iconic baobab trees, as well as wildlife like lions, leopards, wildebeests, zebras, and more. The Tarangire River and Lake Burunge Dam are key water sources, attracting abundant wildlife, particularly during the dry season. Birdwatching enthusiasts will love spotting over 400 species, making it a premier location for birding safaris. After lunch in the park, we’ll head to Migombani Campsite near Lake Manyara for an overnight stay, with all meals included. You’ll encounter wildebeest, buffalo, zebras, hippos, elephants, and the rare black rhinos, along with predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. A visit to Lake Magadi, famous for its flamingos and water birds, is also included. In the afternoon, we’ll return to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay, or transfer to the airport (additional accommodation can be arranged in Arusha upon request).
